Afternoon dinner party in Hareid

This being our day of transition (scheduled to take the night bus back to Oslo), we planned a day of “relaxation”. The event for the day was Kennedy (can we say again, this man is a genius in the kitchen!) cooking a bacalou feast. Kristen and Kennedy had invited friends of theirs, including two English/Norwegian couple, Roger and Agnes and Richard and Anna, as well as their children. We were curious to see that these three Norwegian women that we got to know all had married non Norwegian men, begging the questions, who are these Viking men marrying?
Roger is a most animated and interesting artist who had an installation in the community of Hareid that featured three arrows that pointed to the sky, one of which moves of it’s own accord without explanation. Here is Roger’s website http://www.simplesite.com/wagland, take a peek, his artwork is terrific and we were honored to meet him and all on our final day in Hareid. Turns out that he is also a musician and we had the chance to play some music together before dashing off to night bus back to the Oslo airport to prepare for our departure to Stockholm tomorrow afternoon. We hope to return to Hareid in the future as we now have many new and wonderful friends here!
