Then off to the ferry toward Alesund, a city burned by fire in the early 1900’s and rebuilt in traditional German architecture. The placement of quaint light pastel houses along canals reminded us also of Venice. While resting in a café, our lively young friend, Mari, took notice of a very famous children’s TV celebrity and grabbed the camera from her father to take a picture of him. The interaction brought us great amusement! To our delight, we were able to catch this celebrity (we cannot remember his name) performing on TV the next evening. Who knew we would be brushing elbows with Norway’s famous?
