Day 15: What now?

The day began, as all transition days do, with seemingly endless rolling, tucking, and fidgeting with our small collection of belongings that had to become as compact as possible again for their transfer to a new location. We then examined the currencies of our next location (in Finland they use the Euro) so we would have a sense of what was what when we purchased things. Went for a walk in the Stockholm snow, it was blustery cold and our faces turned beet red as soon as we stepped outside. But on we went and managed to remove gloves for a picture or two on a snowy playground with our two little flat friends, Flat SAM and Flat DAN, from preschools that are following this journey in our other blog titled “Where in the World is Miss Mary?” These flat boys are beginning to look pretty warn out as they are folded, rolled, squashed and crumpled into all sorts of compromising positions in all kinds of pockets of our luggage. They still have a smile on their faces, well one does anyway (I am not sure what SAM’s face is doing)
Monika, bless her heart, was ever so kind and picked us and our gear up and drove all through the city, showing us a few more Stockholm sites and on to the boat. She took us through a Memory Park, a lovely large park like area where those in Stockholm bury their loved ones. We slipped and slid on icy paths to get a sense of this area, then on toward town, where she took us through a lovely little community of very old quaint Swedish homes-(Sodermalm) the homes had a beautiful view of the Stockholm waterways and we took a few pictures before the frigid air made it no longer possible to do so.
At the boat decks, we marveled at how HUGE our boat is, this would be our first cruise like adventure, I have to admit that I have never been a fan of being on a boat that reflected a small city.
