We spent the afternoon in the capitol city of Bern with Mary’s Irish friend Cliohdna (a wonderful cellist and teacher), who happens to live in an apartment at the highest point in Bern, as you can see from this photo taken from her living room window. It was a lovely spring day and we really enjoyed our time spent walking on the ancient streets of the Old Town, watching the Bern bears in their new and quite beautiful grounds, and meandering through gardens that were just beginning to come to life.
