We were glad the winds blew all day, we stayed in bed late, read, made tea, wrote and had a complete “down” day- which becomes quite necessary the more one travels.
On our final day in Crete, we finally got around to painting the gourds that Juliet planned to hang in the trees for the summer months. It was quite fun, as she sprayed painted and we chose to hand paint designs of many colors. We hung our gourds outside our sweet little Cretan home and departed late in the afternoon, back to Athens and then on to London.
