The next day the trio divided, and David returned to Lugano while Jubie, Mary and Jade went for a long “pilgrimage” to Santa Rosa Church. Jade tells us that her Catholic grandmother would take this long “pilgrimage” through the arcades when she was feeling like an unworthy Catholic. When one reaches the church at the top of the steep stepped arcade, they can see an incredible view of Bologna and the surrounding area. Later that night Mary, Jubie and Jade shared their final Italian dinner in a small and charming grotto in the old section of Bologna.
