MONKEYS!!!

It is very hot here. Mary, who rarely experiences a sweat, has been a non-stop puddle of perspiration. We believe this may be a very healthy cleansing for her. Who knows, maybe this will begin a trend and she shall begin to sweat as others do. Each day we venture on foot (slightly ashamed that we are staying in full AC at night) in the moist air, toward the cultural center of Ubud. Our path leads us through Monkey Forest Park where the resident primates prowl around the old walls, hang and swing from tree branches and spend hours grooming one another. We love our daily walks through Monkey Forest, each time we pass through there is some new and hilarious monkey antic going on, whether it be monkeys rolling and clunking coconuts on the ground, monkeys splashing in the little waterways, baby monkeys being rescued by the mama’s as they run into the moped path, monkeys picking stuff off of others monkeys or as we witnessed yesterday, two monkeys embracing, just holding each other. We love the monkeys, you would too!
